The problematic PS3 XMB update released (and subsequently pulled) last week will be re-released for download on PSN by Wednesday according to CVG. The 2.40 release was followed by widespread reports of bricked consoles and Sony was forced to recall the update.
Apparently the new update can be found on various websites but it’s probably wise to wait for the official Sony release through PSN.
